One of my idols, Dr Sylvia Earle, suggested that you should use your own talent to help fight for the ocean. If this website inspires a just one person, my mission will be accomplished. The underwater world has sparked a lot of negative press recently and while this highlights important issues, it fails to inform, educate and reinvigorate a love for the oceans. Through this site, I seek to go some way to address this inconsistency through my passion and dedication to Marine life.
My blog has 3 sections;
Conservation; I aim to discuss why and how we can preserve nature.
Diving; a blend of diving tips, anecdotes and location reviews.
Marine Life; articles on varying marine species.

ABOUT REBECCA
Born and raised in rural England, I grew up in the Great Outdoors and spent a lot of my childhood curious, not only with wildlife but the natural sciences also.
During my school years I would spend a lot of time daydreaming (I still do) about places around the world and life I had never seen.
Young and curious I started to independently travel. Inquisitive about the ocean and an imagination fuelled by 'Blue Planet' I took the PADI Open Water Course in Australia, The Great Barrier Reef.
Impressed with how much I had learnt on a 3-day 'live-a-board' with a team of Marine Biologists, I enrolled in a Bachelors degree in Marine Biology, where I found an interest in ecosystem interactions.
Since, I have graduated from University and I am currently working as a Divemaster and Marine Biologist for a Dive Centre in Dibba-Al Fujairah, UAE.
